Preparing healthy meals for school

School has opened and the almost 9 months kids will be spending in school has started. Aside from children adjusting to their schedules, mothers are also concerned.

Moms worry on how their children will do in school, especially on what they buy and eat in school. But, why wonder if your kids are well-fed and nourished in school when you can personally prepare your kids meals.

Make sure your kids perform well in school by preparing nutritious snacks and health-boosting drinks, and packing them in “baon” containers that are guaranteed to keep food and beverages fresh all the time.

Here are some tips on preparing healthy school meals and snacks for your young ones.

1. Keep your kid’s snacks delicious and fresh. Prepare delicious sandwiches or bake healthy cookies and pack them in an air-tight sealed container so that it will still look and taste as if they were freshly cooked during break time. Also this ensures that the food is safe and protected from ants and other insects.

2. Do away with artificial and carbonated drinks. Put your child’s favorite chocolate drink or fruit juice in a tumbler to make sure your child takes healthy drinks instead of softdrinks or tetra-packed juices. Make sure that the tumbler’s seal is leak-proof and has an easy-open spout to minimize spills.

3. Make sure your active and sporty teens are hydrated. Prepare their energy drink in spill proof drinking bottles like Tupperware’s Beverage Bottle. It has a slim base and easy grip perfect for outdoor activities. And the detachable bottom cap can be used for drinking or storing little items like coins and locker keys.

4. Give your model child a complete meal. Make sure that he gets proper nourishment to face all the challenges of his extra-curricular activities. To keep his meals and snacks fresh, pack them in a lunch box set such as the new Tupperware Lunch Kit which consists of a virtually air-tight Lunch Box where healthy meals can be placed, and the Little Bowl where bite-sized snacks like fruits for recess or dessert can be stored.

5. Create excitement to your kid’s meal. You can make recess more enjoyable for your kids by preparing their snacks in attractive containers like Tupperware’s My Scene and Hotwheels’ Tumbler and Handibowl.

With these back-to-school preparations, you are confident your children get the care and nourishment they need when they are away from home and facing the challenges in school.
